I want to support the next generation.

Hi, I’m Sierra

Something I’ve learned when working with children and teens is that communication comes in many forms. Before I became an ATR and LMFT, I worked as a behavioral therapist, implementing ABA therapy with children and teens on the autism spectrum. When working with my neurodivergent clients, I quickly learned that talking was usually not the main form of communication that we would use together. I felt inspired to do more for my clients than to limit us to traditional “talk therapy”. This is why I wanted to not only become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, but a Registered Art Therapist as well.

When words aren’t enough or available, the kids I work with can express themselves, their feelings, and their experiences through art in a safe space. My goal in working with this young generation is to not only help them learn the tools and coping skills that will support them through their childhood and adolescence, but to set them up to be emotionally healthy and regulated adults.

my “why”

Life is tough, but so are you. One of my favorite things about being a therapist is watching the children and teens I work with discovering and realizing their own worth. This comes in many forms, but I see it most in improved self-esteem, knowing their boundaries and triggers, communicating with others, and having a better home and school lives.

I look forward to hearing from you!
